Today and through the weekend the high-pressure ridge will keep building over High Plains and warm afternoon high temperatures into the mid-90’s today and into the upper 90’s and possibly low 100’s Friday and Saturday, while lows will be seasonal in the 60-65-degree range. We can expect mostly dry conditions due to subsidence, with south southeasterly surface winds, it should remain humid and there could be some elevated heat indexes Friday and Saturday, especially along and east of Highway 83.  Sunday and Monday the ridge may weaken some and allow northwest flow to come over the top and through the area, triggering a late afternoon or evening isolated storm, but this is a low probability.
