Changing Times Ag WX; Stagnant Warm & Dry Pattern Starts Fall; Winter Wheat Establisment Concern if No October Rain
Sep 22nd, 2021
TODAY we will see a chilly start this morning with temps in the upper 30’s and low 40’s across the Tri-state area. The rest of the day will be sunny, warmer highs into the upper 70’s to around 80 and dry with winds turning to the south under a bit of an upper-level ridge. Thursday upper-level ridging will result in warmer temperatures in the upper 80’s and continued dryness. Friday another trough and dry cold front move through keeping seasonal temperatures in check to end the week in the upper 70’s. Over the weekend ridging will warm daytime temps back into the 80’s to around 90 and keep conditions dry with some elevated fire danger conditions west of highway 83.
