TODAY after a cold start and some morning fog along and east of Highway 25 temperatures will warm into the 70’s with breezy south winds gusting 35-40 mph.  Tonight, and tomorrow the breezy south winds continue ahead of an approaching trough and low-pressure system that will lead to temperatures well above normal for late October, low in the upper 40’s and highs reaching into the low 80’s.   The low and associate cold front will move through Tuesday evening with some scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder or two with some potential wrap around showers Wednesday morning.  Wednesday and Thursday will be colder with gusty northwest winds behind the system as it wraps-up and moves through the Midwest.  Lows dropping below freezing and highs in the 50’s.  Friday high-pressure builds over the area warming temperatures back into the 60’s.
