Today temperatures will warm into the 90’s ahead of a cool front associated with an upper-level trough moving though the northern Plains will work its way to I/70 and Highway 40 later this afternoon and evening.    The frontal boundary looks to hang around the area into Friday and Saturday, thus keeping chances for isolated late day storms in the forecast and daytime temperatures closer to normal in the upper 80’s to around 90.  Sunday a trough starts to move into the northwest US and pushes the upper-level ridge over the Rockies east into the area, sending daytime temperatures back into 90’s to start the work week and continuing the dryness the area has seen since early June.
