TODAY starts with southwest flow upper-level low moves from southwest WY and northeast CO to western NE swinging a cold front through the Tri-state area shortly after midday.  This will turn the southwest winds to the northwest with gusts 25-30 mph, while temps top out around 70 and fall into the mid-30’s overnight.  Cooler more seasonal temperatures will be in place tomorrow and Thursday on the backside of the exiting low-pressure system with highs in the 60’s and lows in the low to mid 30’s.  Also, winds will be from the northwest breezier tomorrow, and we can expect morning frost Thursday.  Friday the area will see upper-level northwest flow as a ridge builds over the Rockies then moves into the Plains for the weekend returning afternoon temps into the 70’s, while keeping lows above freezing and continuing dryness.
