Today and tomorrow the amplifying ridge of high-pressure will continue to build over the Rockies and the Tri-state region starting a warming trend for the rest of the week as the ridge builds eastward over the Central U.S.  We can expect completely dry conditions, afternoon high temperatures to start in the upper 80’s and low 90’s, by the end of the week be in the upper 90’s and possibly low 100’s, while lows will be seasonal in the 60-65-degree range.   With south southeasterly surface winds, it should remain humid and there could be some elevated heat indexes by the end of the week, especially along and east of Highway 83.  Over the weekend the ridge may weaken some and allow northwest flow to come over the top and through the area, triggering a late afternoon or evening isolated storm, but this is a low probability.
