Expansive ridge of high-pressure over the southern Plains with the Tri-state area on the northwest periphery will continue to result in hot daytime temperatures 10-15-degrees above normal through the period and it will likely remain dry.  Thursday and Friday an upper-level trough moves into WY, western NE and the Dakotas working a frontal boundary through locally Thursday late afternoon and evening, with some scattered shower and storm chances.  Highs in the mid to upper 90’s to near 100 persist through Thursday, then later in the week Friday and over the weekend shortwaves in more westerly upper-level flow and some frontal boundaries will bring the daytime highs back into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s.
